Since its inception in 2000, Thomas Massie has been Bridgeline Digital's Chairman of the Board, President, and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Massie has led Bridgeline Digital to record revenues each year since inception and the Company has amassed over 75 industry related awards over the past decade, including the esteemed CODiE Award. In 2011, Deloitte recognized Bridgeline Digital as one of the fastest 500 growing Companies in North America and the International Business Times recognized Bridgeline Digital as one of the fastest growing 1,000 Technology Companies globally. For the past 3 consecutive years, BtoB Magazine recognizes Bridgeline as one of the top interactive technology companies in the United States. KM World Magazine recently named Bridgeline as one of the "100 Companies That Matter in Knowledge Management" and their Editors selected iAPPS as a "Trend Setting Product” of 2011.
From 2002 to 2007, Mr. Massie was a member of the Board of Directors of MapInfo Corp, a publicly developer of location intelligence software solutions. Mr. Massie was Chairman of MapInfo's Corporate Governance Committee and a member of their audit and compensation committees. In 2007, MapInfo was acquired by Pitney Bowes for $480 million dollars.
From 1991 to 2000, Mr. Massie was the founder, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Focus Enhancements. Focus is a publicly held developer of proprietary video conversion ASIC chip technology that had global technology alliances with companies such as Intel, Microsoft, Apple Computer, Thompson, Philips, SONY, Nokia, and Zenith. Mr. Massie led Focus from its original business plan to a public market cap of over $230 million dollars.
From 1986 to 1991, Mr. Massie was the founder, and Chairman of the Board of Mass Microsystems. Mr. Massie led this publicly held developer of proprietary multimedia products from business plan to over $75 million dollars in public market cap in just a few short years. In addition, Mr. Massie is a member of the National Associations of Corporate Directors and he was a non-commissioned Officer in the United States Army, 101st Airborne Division.
Brett Zucker has been an executive at Bridgeline Digital since 2002. Since 2006, Mr. Zucker has been Bridgeline’s Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Officer. Mr. Zucker is the Chairman of Bridgeline Digital's Product Committee.
Mr. Zucker is a frequent speaker and panelist at various industry events and has been quoted in many trade publications regarding the trends and future of web engagement management, content management, and web analytics. Mr. Zucker is a member of the Board of Directors of Content Management Professionals (CM Pros) and is the visionary of Bridgeline’s flagship product suite, iAPPS. The iAPPS product suite is the first product of its kind to deeply integrate and unify web content management, web analytics, eCommerce, and eMarketing capabilities. iAPPS is the recipient of the esteemed 2010 CODiE Award and was named a Trend Setting Product of 2010 and 2011 by the editors at KMWorld Magazine.
Prior to joining Bridgeline Digital, Mr. Zucker was the Director of Development and Delivery for Lead Dog Digital, a custom Web application development company acquired by Bridgeline in 2002. Prior to joining Lead Dog Digital in September 2000, Mr. Zucker served in management positions with AppNet and Agency.com.
Mr. Zucker holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
Michael Prinn has been with Bridgeline Digital since 2010 and is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Prinn has over 15 years of financial management experience in public and private companies and brings to Bridgeline a strong background in financial reporting, management of finance operations & compliance.
Prior to joining Bridgeline, Mr. Prinn held various financial management positions. From 2006 to 2010 Mr. Prinn was a Controller for Sapient, an $800 million publicly-held global integrated marketing and technology services company. From 2003 to 2006 Mr. Prinn was the Corporate Controller for SensAble Technologies, a developer of 3D touch-enabled digital solutions. Prior to joining SensAble Technologies, Mr. Prinn was an Audit Manager in Arthur Andersen's High Tech Audit Practice.
Mr. Prinn holds a B.S. in Accounting from Boston College and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Ty Glasgow is Executive Vice President of Strategic Alliance at Bridgeline Digital since November 2011. Prior to that, he had served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Bridgeline Digital’s Boston business unit since 2010.
Prior to joining Bridgeline, Mr. Glasgow was an executive at Big Bad, Inc. From 2002 to 2003, he was Vice President of Sales, and in 2003 accepted the opportunity to become Chief Executive Officer. From 1999 to 2002, Mr. Glasgow led the start up of the Enterprise Division of Transparent Language, a software company specializing in language learning and translation solutions. Starting from a zero customer base, Mr. Glasgow succeeded in partnering with Microsoft and IBM to incorporate the Transparent Language translation software into their offerings. Mr. Glasgow's success led to the acquisition of this Division in 2002 by SDL International, a publicly traded British Localization company.
From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Glasgow was Vice President of Sales at Objective Communications. Objective Communications provided products and services in the emerging video conferencing marketplace. Mr. Glasgow quickly developed reference accounts and rapidly grew revenue, which led to a successful Initial Public Offering. From 1993 to 1996, Mr. Glasgow was the Vice President of Sales for Technical Communications Corporation, a network security company.
From 1990 to 1993, Mr. Glasgow was the Director of International Business Development at Lockheed Martin and grew their International Electronics business from $5M to $120M. In 1985, Mr. Glasgow joined the Raytheon Company as a software engineer and assisted in the development of next generation submarine command and control systems for the U.S. Navy. In 1986, Mr. Glasgow was promoted to Project Management and assumed positions of increasing Profit and Loss responsibility for Domestic and International Naval development projects ranging in value from $10M to $35M. Mr. Glasgow established in country co-production operations with clients in South Korea, Italy, Spain and Turkey.
Mr. Glasgow is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a B.S. in Systems Engineering. He also earned a Masters in Business Administration from Bryant University. Upon graduation from the United States Naval Academy, Mr. Glasgow received his commission as an Officer and was selected to serve on the USS Sam Rayburn and USS La Jolla. The crew of the USS La Jolla, a fast attack and intelligence-gathering nuclear submarine, was twice awarded the Presidential Unit Citation for special operations of great importance to the United States during Mr. Glasgow's tenure
David Maffei is Bridgeline Digital’s Senior Vice President of Global Business Development, responsible for driving continued sales growth of Bridgeline's Business Unit Sales, Channel Partner Program and Strategic Alliances teams.
Mr. Maffei has over a decade of experience of driving strong growth for software and services companies. For the past six years, he was the Vice President of Sales for Ektron, a developer of web content management systems. In this role, he was responsible for leading global sales for Ektron’s products and services and its global channel partner program. During Mr. Maffei’s 6 year tenure at Ektron, his leadership drove exceptional revenue growth and helped lead the expansion of Ektron’s channel partner program from the ground up to over 200 channel partners globally.
Prior to Ektron, Mr. Maffei held senior sales roles at SBC Global where he managed sales and the overall telecommunications footprint for a dozen global accounts such as AstraZeneca and Raytheon.
Mr. Maffei earned his B.A. in Political Science with a focus in International Business from Muhlenberg College.
Paul Oetjens has been an executive at Bridgeline Digital since 2007 and is the Senior Vice President of Global Services.
Prior to joining Bridgeline Digital, Mr. Oetjens was Vice President and General Manager of Purple Monkey Studios. Purple Monkey was a growing, award winning, web application development company headquartered in the Chicago area. Purple Monkey was acquired by Bridgeline Digital in 2007.
Mr. Oetjens has over 11 years of programming and application architecture experience. He began his career at Purple Monkey in 1997 and filled many roles, including Application Engineer, Project Manager, Technical Manager, Group Manager, Vice President of Operations, and General Manager.
Mr. Oetjens received an MBA from DePaul University with a concentration in Integrated Marketing Solutions and a BA in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago.
Michael (Mike) Matteo currently serves as Bridgeline Digital's Senior Vice President of Strategic Alliances. With expert knowledge in all things Digital Engagement and eCommerce, Mike works to maintain a strong relationship between Bridgeline and key partners, including UPS Logistics and Fulfillment. In addition, Mike manages Bridgeline’s iAPPS ds product, a web platform for franchise and large dealer networks.
Mike has served Bridgeline for more than 10 years in various leadership positions and came to the company through the acquisition of Lead Dog Digital where he was the Chief Executive Officer. While at Lead Dog Digital, he was instrumental in growing the company over 100% annually by hiring quality personnel, expanding service offerings, aligning with industry partners and delivering complex projects.
Brian Bolton is Bridgeline Digital's Senior Vice President of Marketing.
Prior to this, Mr. Bolton was Bridgeline's Vice President of Marketing and from 2003 until March of 2007, he was Director of Business Development for Bridgeline’s Boston region. Prior to joining Bridgeline, he spent 8 years with John Hancock Financial Services, primarily in eBusiness related areas and oversaw much of the development and management of web applications to support the distribution of life insurance through agency and broker channels. Mr. Bolton was John Hancock's liaison to LIMRA's eBusiness Study Group.
Mr. Bolton has a B.S. in Finance and International Business from Northeastern University and an MBA in Marketing from Boston College. He has also studied at the London School of Economics.
Tom Whittaker is the Senior Vice President of Enablement at Bridgeline Digital.
Prior to joining Bridgeline Digital, Mr. Whittaker was Senior Vice President of Operations for Indigio, an interactive agency headquartered in Denver, CO, which focused on helping clients achieve online success. Mr. Whittaker managed the day-to-day operations and oversaw the delivery teams, including development, design, media, and project management. Since joining Indigio in 2005, Mr. Whittaker has held the positions of Vice President of Service Delivery, Director of Service Delivery and Solutions Manager. Mr. Whittaker has over 10 years of internet and marketing experience with a strong background in moving & storage. Indigio merged into Bridgeline Digital in July 2008.
From 2000 – 2005, Mr. Whittaker managed the online channel of Budget Truck Rental overseeing site design, development and analytics. During this time, the online channel grew from generating 10% of the company’s revenue to 40% of the company’s revenue. Additionally, Mr. Whittaker oversaw all marketing affiliations, partnerships and vendors. From 1994 – 2000, Mr. Whittaker was at U-Haul Corporation in various roles within operations, finance and marketing, which included managing all point-of sale applications for online, POS and their Call Center.
Mr. Whittaker attended the State University of New York in Plattsburgh, NY.
Catherine Rogers has been the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Bridgeline Digital since 2011. Catherine is a dedicated human resources professional with an energetic, open and welcoming work style. As a member of our Executive Committee, Catherine works closely with Bridgeline’s management teams globally to successfully execute staffing growth initiatives, implement training and certification programs, and enhance employee career development.
Prior to joining Bridgeline Digital, from 2005 to 2011 Catherine was the Vice President of Human Resources at PAN Communications, a full service Public Relations firm. Prior to PAN Communications Catherine was a Senior Director of Human Resources with NaviSite and Surebridge where she was responsible for planning and directing all of the activities of the Human Resources function. Earlier in her career, Catherine was a People & Culture Manager at Hill Holliday and was responsible for staffing, culture management, benefits and professional training & development. Prior to Hill Holliday, she was a Human Resource Manager for Answerthink Consulting Group, and also spent five years with Think New Ideas and BBG New Media, managing all aspects of Human Resources for the companies.
Catherine is an active member of the Society of Human Resources (SHRM) and Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA). Catherine is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Lowell and Northeastern University.
Jennifer Bakunas is Bridgeline Digital’s SVP of Business Development of the East Region.
Ms. Bakunas came to Bridgeline Digital through the acquisition of Magnetic where she served as the CEO and was responsible for overseeing all key operations of the company and directing Magnetic’s management team. She was also instrumental in creating Magnetic’s unique corporate culture, resulting in 6 consecutive years of being awarded the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Best Places to Work recognition. Ms. Bakunas’ educational and professional experience have given her a unique mix of both business and technical expertise. She holds a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the area of enterprise web development, and is able to effectively share and communicate that knowledge with her customers and team. Prior to founding Magnetic, Ms. Bakunas held positions at Walt Disney World and IBM as a technical writer and website developer.
In addition to her responsibilities at Bridgeline Digital, Ms. Bakunas has received the Tampa Bay Business Journal's Young BusinessWoman of the Year Award for her contributions to both her profession and the community. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Tampa Bay CEO Council, the Tampa Metro YMCA and the University of Tampa Entrepreneurship Center.
Ms. Bakunas holds a BA in Technical Writing and Computer Science from the University of Central Florida.
Alan Bach is SVP of Business Development of the Western Region.
Mr. Bach comes to Bridgeline through the acquisition of MarketNet, one of the leading interactive developers in the Dallas area, where he served as a Principal and Vice President. Mr. Bach brings close to three decades of high-tech development and marketing experience to Bridgeline. Since 1999, he's been responsible for partnering with clients on strategic marketing efforts, web design projects and online marketing campaigns. He brings a technical expertise and practical business sense to each project, ensuring Bridgeline over-delivers to each client. Prior to his tenure with MarketNet, Mr. Bach held executive and senior level marketing positions at IBM, Eicon Technology, and Hayes Microcomputer Products.
Mr. Bach holds a Masters of Business Administration from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
William Matteson is a Vice President of Contracts Administration for Bridgeline Digital.
Mr. Matteson has extensive senior management experience in both small and large service organizations. Prior to his new position, he was Bridgeline's Vice President of Business Development for New England having joined the company at its inception.
From 1995 -2000, Mr. Matteson was President, CEO and co-founder of Streamline Communications, a Boston-based Web development company. Streamline Communications merged with Bridgeline Digital in 2000.
From 1987 to 1994, Mr. Matteson served as President, CEO, and partner of Clark, Goward, Fitts, Matteson a mid-sized Boston ad agency. At Clark Goward, he worked with a number of national clients including Staples and EMC.
Prior to that he spent 18 years at Hill, Holliday advertising one of the country's 25 largest advertising agencies. At, Hill, Holliday, Mr. Matteson held a number of senior management positions including Senior Vice President of Account Services and Managing Director of Europe. Living in London in the mid eighties, he worked closely with Wang Laboratories and Lotus Development to help develop their branding and marketing communications strategy.
Mr. Matteson received a BA degree in English from Brown University and is a past Trustee of the Mass Horticultural Society.
Titas Gupta is Vice President for APAC (Asia Pacific), responsible for Sales and Business, Operations and Delivery in Bridgeline’s Bangalore, India office.
Mr. Gupta has over 20 years of experience in the IT Industry where he has led and managed both direct and indirect sales operations across a variety of industry verticals and geographies throughout India and other Asian countries.
Mr. Gupta’s last assignment was with Pitney Bowes, where he successfully created and delivered results through their channel sales division. Prior to Pitney Bowes, Mr. Gupta was with Omniture ( Adobe), where he built their Sales and Business development operation in India and other South Asian countries for their Online Business Optimization Suite.
Prior to Omniture, Mr. Gupta worked with Oracle as a Regional Sales Manager, managing a high performing team of sales executives. Mr. Gupta was instrumental in growing Oracle’s technology sales business to over $10M for the northern Indian region.
Additionally, Mr. Gupta has had prior engagements with IBM and Hewlett Packard where he drove numerous multi-million $US deals.
Mr. Gupta holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Technology from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur, India.
